Hi, I’m Lukas.

I am a product designer specializing in physical product development, working at the intersection of design and engineering. I approach the entire product lifecycle – from conceptual design and CAD to technical feasibility, production, and after-sales. Customers, partners, and users are always at the center of my considerations.

I do not see design as a luxury for a few, but as a tool for society. I am interested in creating products that are accessible, address real-world problems, and make a positive contribution to everyday life. Therefore, I consider social, ecological, and economic aspects alongside design and technical requirements. I am particularly interested in circular and holistic product concepts, as well as the question of how high-quality products can be developed and manufactured under the conditions of a high-wage region such as Germany.

I do not see artificial intelligence, and image-generation tools in particular, as a competitor to design, but as a tool and an opportunity. They allow me to accelerate my processes, explore new perspectives, and expand upon my ideas. For me, however, the core of the process remains independent creative and conceptual thinking.

I earned my Master of Arts in Industrial Design from Hochschule Magdeburg-Stendal under the supervision of Prof. Jan Bäse and Prof. Mathias Bertram, specializing in Engineering Design. Throughout my studies and professional career, I have gained experience across a range of fields and organizational structures. Among others, I have worked with:

  • GP Designpartners, Vienna – Product and industrial design studio
  • Syntropic, Freiburg – Startup focused on sustainable agriculture
  • Noras, Würzburg – Medium-sized company specializing in innovative MRI imaging technologies
  • Novon, Stuttgart – Startup developing innovative and sustainable energy and charging systems

My work has received several design awards and nominations, including:

  • Bestform Award 2023
  • iF Student Design Award 2024
  • German Design Award – Newcomer 2026 Nominee
